Measuring for
stockings is simple.
Measurements for
medical compression stockings
are based on the circumferences
of the leg.
If
you are experiencing swelling,
it is very important to take the
measurement first thing in the
morning before getting out of
bed.
How to
Measure:
-
Using a
measuring tape, measure
around the smallest
part of the ankle.
This will be above the round
bones on both sides of the
ankle.
-
Next measure
around the fullest
part of your calf.
-
For thigh
length styles, you will also
need to measure around the fullest
part of the thigh.
Use these
measurements to determine your
size. Visit our size
charts for Jobst
or TruForm
stockings to determine the
appropriate size for the type of
stocking you are purchasing.
When you receive
your stockings, it is important
to put your stockings on first
thing in the morning. Take
your shower the night
before. By putting on your
stockings before you swell, you
can control your swelling.
